Terms of use

These terms are between you and depth.fm, an independent project run from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or uploading a file you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site.

• Only your own listening history export, or one you have the account holder's permission to upload.
• Only the files the music service gave you. Don't upload anything else, and don't try to break the parser.
• You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live if that's higher.

Your dashboard is private until you share it. When you make your profile public or create a share link, you're choosing to show that view to whoever sees it. Hide anything you don't want shown first; hidden items are left out of every public number. You can revoke links and make your profile private again at any time.

• Use a username or display name that impersonates someone, or is abusive.
• Scrape the site at scale, get around rate limits, or try to access other people's data.
• Use depth.fm to break the law or anyone's terms of service.

We may remove usernames, profiles or accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why.

depth.fm is free. There are no subscriptions or locked features. It's paid for by a few ads and affiliate links, described on Ads and affiliate links. If we ever offer a way to support the project directly, it will get you a thank-you and nothing else: nobody gets a better dashboard for paying.

You own your data. We use it only to build your dashboard and the views you choose to share, and, if you opt in, anonymous totals for public artist pages. Details are in the privacy notice. You can export or delete everything from Settings.

We work hard to get every number right, and every one is defined on About the data. But the site is provided as it is, the exports themselves have gaps, and the service may change or go down. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UK consumer law.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before. The date at the top shows the last change.
